• API Keys: A default key is provided, or you may use your own by adding it in the settings. Currently, only one key can be used for all requests.
• Chat History: Conversations with the AI are stored locally on your device.
• Settings: Your preferences and settings are stored locally.

3. Local Storage

Data is stored locally on your device using browser localStorage, including:

• Masked API keys
• Chat history
• Persona settings
• Theme preferences

No data is sent to servers, except for communication with the Gemini API.

4. API Key Security

Your API key is used to authenticate with Google's Gemini API. I have implemented the following security measures:

• API keys are stored in masked form in localStorage.
• Full API keys are temporarily stored in sessionStorage.
• API keys are never logged or shared with third parties.

5. Data Sharing

Your data is not shared with third parties. Conversations are sent directly to Google's Gemini API for processing.

6. Data Retention

You can delete your chat history at any time through the application interface. All data is stored locally and remains under your control.

This policy is subject to change. Any changes will be posted on this page.

The Retro Terminal is an interface that connects to Google's Gemini AI. The responses generated by the AI are not created, reviewed, or endorsed by the developer of this application. The developer is not responsible for any content, advice, information, or statements made by the AI. Users should exercise their own judgment when interacting with the AI and should not rely on the AI for critical decisions regarding health, finance, legal matters, or other important issues. The AI's responses are generated based on patterns in its training data and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate.
